I like this ticket for good reasons:

1. Obama has a true attack dog in Biden. Something that the last two nominees didn't have in the VP choices. Obama can't do the attacking by himself, it's the Democrats, aka Obama surrogates and VP that have to hit back. Therefore, Biden is an excellent fit. maryluvs_thumbup.gif

2. Even though they sat on the same committee in the Senate (Foreign Relations Committee), Obama still needed someone with foreign policy/NS experience and Biden is Chariman of the SFRC, so this is smart move on O's part.

3. Change vs. Experience. We can all say Obama could have done better with the VP pick (and peeps will criticize Biden for foot in mouth disease, Anita Hill, MBNA, etc.), but all of them had as Beyonce says "flaws and all."

I am supporting this Obama/Biden ticket all the way. maryluvs_smile.gif

maryluvs_excl.gif I was telling a friend that over the weekend. She is not heavy into politics, so I explaining that Biden has the Foreign Relations experience that his ticket needs. This was a great choice. maryluvs_thumbup.gif

maryluvs_shifty.gif I guess I mean maryluvs_rolleyes0.gif I really respect him as a legislator although I do have a few issues with a few of his positions but I'll support the ticket.

What I really had hoped for was a govenor for the ticket(e.g. Warner, Kaine or my Sen. McCaskill ) maryluvs_giggle.gif so ya'll listen out for her too tonite! I write her quite often, she writes back and she actually visits her constituents quite a bit. I got into the habit of our lil chats when I worked for the state and she was our State Auditor. A lot of us begged her to run for governor but did she listen noooo maryluvs_rolleyes0.gif she woulda had plenty experience by now had she listened anyway She's awesome love her! wub.gif maryluvs_thumbup.gif

maryluvs_laughing.gif I think it was more of "gotcha moment" maryluvs_rolleyes0.gif Joe Biden has a long record in Civil Rights but hey this is America and we all are prone to be a lil bias maryluvs_giggle.gif doesn't mean we don't all still love each other. maryluvs_dead2.gif

maryluvs_excl.gif It was. Obama/Biden's friends are on that committee. LOL!

But yes, picking Biden was a smart move because Obama chose to pick someone who he is comfortable with and a team player.
