For a week, Sen. John McCain's campaign has been crowing about the gobs of money that have rolled in since he selected Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate.
Now Sen. Barack Obama's team is getting into the act. Campaign spokesman Bill Burton said the Obama camp has taken in $8 million since she was named to the GOP ticket, and that the campaign is on track to have taken in $10 million in donations by the time McCain speaks tonight.
"It's true," Burton said. "Sarah Palin's attacks have rallied our supporters in ways we never expected. And we fully expect John McCain's attacks tonight to help us make our grassroots organization even stronger."
